About Nordkurier Nordkurier is the leading daily newspaper in the Eastern part of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It also serves the readers in neighbouring Uckermark-County, which is part of the state of Brandenburg. Nordkurier has a daily circulation of 140.000 copies and serves more than 340.000 readers. More than 90 % of the customers are subscribed to the newspaper, produced and published in Neubrandenburg (population 75.000). Nordkurier offers a wide range of daily news and information, including top international and national news, background-stories, service-information, reports and commentary to a broad variety of issues of public interest, with local and regional news ranking on top of the information-mix. 13 local editions in the region of Nordkuriers circulation, make sure, that the readers are always well informed about what is happening in and around their home-towns and neighborhoods. The newspaper is also the leading advertising-print-media in the region, publishing an averarag of more than 3.000 advertisements weekly. A network of 16 Nordkurier service-points makes sure, that the newspaper is always in close to reach for its readers and customers. Since 1998 the internet-service "nordkurier-online" is in service, registering now more than 50.000 page-impressions a month. The publishing company, editing Nordkurier, is the Kurierverlag (founded in 1990), which employs about 460 persons, 120 of them working as journalists and reporters.
